New ‘Toy Story 4’ Trailer Will Make You Cry as Woody Imagines Life on the Road (Video)

Why do you have to do this to us Pixar? Does every new look at “Toy Story 4” have to make us cry this much?

The new trailer for “Toy Story 4” starts to try and answer those burning questions everyone had the first time around about the new character Forky, like his existential crisis and reason for existing. But it also grapples with Woody’s own purpose as a toy, something this franchise has done dating all the way back to the original. Oh, and it’s all set to the tune of “God Only Knows” by the Beach Boys. They really know where to get us, don’t they?

“I was made to help this child,” Woody says. “I don’t remember it being this hard.”

This latest trailer also introduces us to three new characters and brings back the original franchise’s Bo Peep, who is now an adventurous spirit living life as a toy on the road. Among the new characters are Gabby Gabby, voiced by Christina Hendricks, Duke Caboom voiced by Keanu Reeves, and Giggle McDimples, voiced by Alli Maki.

Here’s the full synopsis:

Woody (voice of Tom Hanks) has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. So when Bonnie’s beloved new craft-project-turned-toy, Forky (voice of Tony Hale), declares himself as “trash” and not a toy, Woody takes it upon himself to show Forky why he should embrace being a toy. But when Bonnie takes the whole gang on her family’s road trip excursion, Woody ends up on an unexpected detour that includes a reunion with his long-lost friend Bo Peep (voice of Annie Potts). After years of being on her own, Bo’s adventurous spirit and life on the road belie her delicate porcelain exterior. As Woody and Bo realize they’re worlds apart when it comes to life as a toy, they soon come to find that’s the least of their worries.

Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney and Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to theaters on June 21.

‘Toy Story 4’ Super Bowl Trailer Sees the Return of Bo Peep (Video)

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

It’s been 20 years since Woody and Bo Peep have seen each other, but in the Super Bowl trailer for Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” we finally see what’s become of the gentle doll.

Bo Peep turns up at the very start of the Super Bowl “Toy Story 4” preview. The scene: a very cool-looking carnival. It turns out she’s changed quite a bit.

“Wasn’t Buzz gonna meet us here?” she asks Woody. Then we cut to Buzz, and see why he’s tied up. And where he’s tied up.

While Woody went on epic adventures with Buzz and friends and said goodbye to his buddy Andy, Bo Peep has been out on her own and is asserting herself as her own toy. In the past, it was believed that Bo Peep got separated from the others because of a yard sale by Andy’s parents. But that might not be true, as both the trailer and the new poster for “TS4” show how she’s traded in her dress for a sleek outfit and turned her shepherd’s cane into a bo (peep) staff.

Along with this reunion, “Toy Story 4” will see Woody and the gang get an unexpected addition to the group: Forky, a makeshift toy made from plastic cutlery and wire cleaners by the toys’ new playmate, Bonnie. When he comes to life, Forky plunges directly into a manic existential crisis, and it’s up to Woody to show him he has value as a toy.

“Toy Story 4” hits theaters June 21. Watch the trailer in the clip above.

Key and Peele Reunite as Ducky and Bunny in New ‘Toy Story 4’ Teaser

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, or the comedy duo Key and Peele, have reunited in the latest teaser for Disney-Pixar’s “Toy Story 4,” joining the film’s voice cast.

As cuddly carnival toys Ducky and Bunny in director Josh Cooley’s film, the two actually riff on their famous parking valet attendants characters in this latest teaser for the film, which also features the voices of Tom Hanks and Tim Allen as Woody and Buzz.

“You can’t go to infinity, dummy. It’s impossible,” Peele’s Bunny jokes about Buzz Lightyear’s famous catch phrase. “You don’t know nothing about science,” Key adds.

“Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele, who voice Ducky and Bunny, are two of the most brilliant minds I’ve ever seen,” director Josh Cooley said in a statement. “Of course, they are effortlessly funny, which would be enough. But they are incredible actors that understand story. Their improvs weren’t just for comedy sake, they were story motivated which elevated Ducky and Bunny and the film to a level I never could have expected.”

In “Toy Story 4,” Ducky and Bunny are carnival prizes who are eager to be won. But when their plans are rudely interrupted, they find themselves on an unexpected adventure with a group of toys who have no idea what it feels like to be tacked to a prize wall.

Key and Peele also join Tony Hale in the voice cast, who appeared as the reluctant new toy Forky in a teaser trailer that dropped yesterday.

“Toy Story 4” hits theaters on June 21, 2019. Watch the new teaser above.
