CBS is heading into the trenches with “Stripes.”

The network is developing a single-camera TV reboot of the 1981 Ivan Reitman-directed film that starred Bill Murray.

Trevor Moore, Sam Brown and Zach Cregger from “Whitest Kids U’ Know” are writing and executive producing.

Like the popular movie, the show will focus on a rebellious outsider who finds direction in life by joining the military and uniting a group of quirky misfits.

The co-production from Sony Pictures Television Studio and CBS Television Studios is directed by Ivan Reitman, who helmed the film that provided an early-career leading role for Murray.

Executive producers on the TV project are Reitman, Moore, Brown, Cregger, Julius Goldy Sharpe and Tom Pollock. Amie Karp and Peter Fried are producers.
