Anthony Scaramucci may be a really big fan of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” but he could also be using a line from Sunday night’s episode of the hit HBO show to troll President Trump.
The former White House communications director sent a message shortly after the season finale of “GoT,” quoting the current king of the north, Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington).
Hmm. Could he have been referring to false promises made by Trump per chance?
Scaramucci’s time as communications director was both brief and bizarre. He began by threatening to fire the entire White House communications staff and then made global headlines for a profanity filled interview with the New Yorker in which he publicly feuded with former White House chief of Staff, Reince Priebus.
During a phone call with a New Yorker reporter, Scaramucci called Priebus “a f–ing paranoid schizophrenic,” among other colorful epithets, and accused the former RNC head of deliberately undermining him. However, when the interview was published, Scaramucci responded by saying his biggest mistake was to trust a reporter. He chalked it up to “colorful” language.
Despite the embarrassment it brought on the White House, it was Preibus, not Scaramucci, who initially lost his job. But Scaramucci was also fired shortly thereafter.
“Anthony Scaramucci will be leaving his role as White House communications director. Mr. Scaramucci felt it was best to give Chief of Staff John Kelly a clean slate and the ability to build his own team. We wish him all the best,” the White House said in a statement.
So, did the Mooch just take a jab at Trump’s sense of loyalty or is he simply a big fan of “Thrones?”
