Sarah Jessica Parker Says Third ‘Sex and the City’ Movie Is ‘Fairly Nearby’ (Video)

Sarah Jessica Parker has given “Sex and the City” fans new hope — she says there might be a third film “fairly nearby.”

During her interview on CBS’ Sunday Morning, the actress was asked whether there will be a third “Sex and the City” movie, following big-screen adaptations of the hit HBO series in 2008 and 2010.

“I will say that the idea, it rests in the butler’s pantry,” she responded. “It’s not on the table, but someone is holding it fairly nearby.”

The two films combined to gross over $700 million worldwide. The show ran from 1998 to 2004 and also starred Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon and Chris Noth. It followed four young women living in New York who go through confusing changes throughout life.

Parker currently stars in “Divorce,” following a couple that goes through a long, drawn out separation. It also stars Molly Shannon, Thomas Haden Church and Talia Balsam. It premiered on Oct. 9.

The actress also recently told the Telegraph that her character, Carrie, was the “least identifiable person” she has every played.
