A year after it launched, AT&T’s Internet-delivered skinny TV bundle DirecTV Now has officially reached 1 million subscribers.
Today’s announcement of the milestone follows several mentions it was approaching the mark by AT&T chief Randall Stephenson and other execs, who have noted the OTT rollout as proof of the company’s wherewithal and good intentions. AT&T and the U.S. Department of Justice will meet in court for the first time on Dec. 7 at a pre-trial hearing in the DOJ’s lawsuit against the company over its pending Time Warner merger, a federal judge said this afternoon.
Judge Richard Leon is overseeing the case. He revealed the hearing date as part of an order.
