The “RuPaul’s Drag Race” host is set to film a pilot for his own daytime talk show, TheWrap has confirmed.
Aiming for a fall 2019 premiere, the show would see the drag queen-turned-TV host sitting down for interviews, discussing pop culture and providing beauty and makeup tips. It is produced by WBTV’s syndicated arm, Telepictures.

RuPaul previously hosted the variety/talk show “The RuPaul Show” for VH1 in 1996, along with frequent collaborator Michelle Visage. He and Visage currently serve as host and judge, respectively, on the network’s drag queen competition show “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
The host also has a presence on scripted television, having recently co-starred on the short-lived Netflix comedy “Girlboss” and played a recurring role on the most recent season of Comedy Central’s “Broad City.” He is next set to write, star in and executive produce “AJ and the Queen” at Netflix with Michael Patrick King.
Warner Bros. TV is developing a RuPaul biopic series at Hulu from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and “Drag Race” producers World of Wonder.
