Should television decide to take another crack at a “Charlie’s Angels” revamp, they might turn toward the “Big Bang Theory” stable to fill out the cast.

“Big Bang Theory” stars Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch paid homage to the jiggle-TV chestnut in a behind-the-scenes photo posted to Cuoco’s Instagram account on Thursday, enlisting Wil Wheaton in a behind-the-scenes photo.

In the photo, Rauch, Bialik and Cuoco are seen surrounding Wheaton in a rough approximation of the “Charlie’s Angels” fingers-as-gun-barrels pose.

According to the CBS synopsis of this week’s episode: “When the gang finds out Wil Wheaton hosts a celebrity Dungeons and Dragons game involving William Shatner, Joe Manganiello, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Kevin Smith, deception and betrayal are the path to make it to the one open seat.”

Way to hug it out, Kaley Cuoco.

“Big Bang Theory” star Kaley Cuoco offered a heart-warming — and body-squeezing — behind-the-scenes look at the hit CBS sitcom on Monday, sharing a photo of herself hugging William Shatner.

The photo represented a reunion for Cuoco and Shatner — in addition to the “Star Trek” icon appearing as a guest-star on an upcoming episode of “Big Bang Theory,” he and Cuoco have also starred in a series of commercials for travel website Priceline.

Looks like “The Big Bang Theory” star Melissa Rauch made a friend in a high place on Monday.

Rauch, who plays Bernadette on the hit CBS sitcom, offered fans a sneak peek at an upcoming, star-studded episode of the series on Monday, along with a jaw-dropping lesson in perspective.

Rauch took to her Instagram account on Monday to share photos of herself with basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who guest-stars on an upcoming episode.

Rauch’s message accompanying the photos makes a mock (we’re assuming) pitch to Magic Johnson for a spot on the Lakers.

“Dear @magicjohnson I know you have a lot of big calls to make this week, so in the hopes that it will increase my value before the @nba trade deadline….here are some photos that clearly demonstrate what an asset I would be as a (very) Small Forward for the @lakers,” Rauch wrote.

According to CBS, Abdul-Jabbar appears on the Feb. 21 episode of the series, currently in its 12th and final season.

‘Big Bang Theory’ Enlists William Shatner, Kevin Smith and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Episode

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

“The Big Bang Theory” is bringing in one of its biggest roster of guest stars for a special “Dungeons & Dragons” themed episode, including Capt. Kirk himself (sorry, not Chris Pine) and an NBA Hall of Famer.

William Shatner, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Kevin Smith, Joe Manganiello and frequent guest star — and Sheldon nemesis — Wil Wheaton will join the gang. An airdate has not yet been announced.

This will be the first appearance for Shatner, follows his former “Star Trek” cast members including the late Leonard Nimoy, George Takei. Brent Spiner and LeVar Burton from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” have also appeared on the show, alongside Wheaton, who has been on the show many times, but mainly to torment Sheldon (Jim Parsons).

The long-running CBS sitcom is in the middle of its farewell season, and it’s been pulling out all the stops. The final season included a crossover of sorts from its spinoff “Young Sheldon,” when Iain Armitage (a young version of Parsons’ Sheldon Cooper), Lance Barber (Sheldon’s dad, George) and Montana Jordan (Sheldon’s older brother, Georgie) all made an appearance courtesy of an old VHS tape.

“The Big Bang Theory” first debuted in 2007 and has garnered 52 Emmy nominations — winning 10 of them — and seven Golden Globe nominations. Jim Parsons himself took home four Emmys for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy, his most recent win in 2014. The show consistently was among the most-watched programs on television and was often used by CBS as a launching pad for new shows.

When the series ends in  May, it will finish as the longest-running multi-camera series in television history with 279 episodes.

Kevin Smith Is ‘Not Mad’ About Bill Maher’s Shot at Him: ‘Real Time’ Host ‘Is a Stoner Like Me’ (Video)

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

Bill Maher poked fun at director Kevin Smith’s trademark choice of wardrobe Friday night… and the “Clerk” filmmaker didn’t poke back. Instead, he called the “Real Time” host “a stoner like me and a real pussycat when confronted.”

During Friday’s “Real Time With Bill Maher,” the comedian doubled down on a blog post he wrote in the wake of Stan Lee’s death, reaffirming that he wasn’t taking a shot at the comics legend, but rather at adults who should grow up and move “on to big-boy books without the pictures.”

Maher quoted Smith as saying at the time of Lee’s November death that he was “taking a shot when no shots were f—ing necessary,” an accusation that got the comedian fired up.

“Again, my shot wasn’t at Stan Lee; my shot was at grown men who still dress like kids,” Maher rebutted, after which a photo appeared beside him of Smith wearing jean shorts, a hockey jersey and a baseball cap.

Smith responded Saturday morning on Twitter with an old clip of Smith appearing on “Real Time.”

“Yes, @billmaher took a shot at me during his show last night, in the midst of his latest rant about @TheRealStanLee and adults who like comic books,” Smith said Saturday. “No, I’m not mad at all. Bill may talk tough but he’s a stoner like me and a real pussycat when confronted.”

In the old clip “Real Time” clip, Smith joked that he wanted to slap Maher and other late night hosts for poking fun at his weight.

“But not smack him with my hand, like d–k smack him. You know, like pop up and hit you in the face with it, and that’s why I lost the weight,” Smith said with a smile. The exchange nearly left Maher speechless.

Shortly after Lee’s passing back in November 2018, Maher wrote in a blog post, “America is in mourning. Deep, deep mourning for a man who inspired millions to, I don’t know, watch a movie, I guess.” His article earned the rebuke of not just Smith, a close friend of Lee’s, but also Lee’s team, who slammed Maher’s comments as “frankly disgusting.”

“I don’t think it’s a huge stretch to suggest that Donald Trump could only get elected in a country that thinks comic books are important,” he continued.

See Smith’s tweet below, and watch the “Real Time” segment in which Maher jabbed at Smith above:

Kevin Smith’s ‘Jay and Silent Bob Reboot’ Acquired by Saban Films

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

Saban Films has acquired the North American rights to “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot,” Kevin Smith’s upcoming sequel to the 2001 cult stoner comedy “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back,” the production company announced Friday.

Production is currently underway on the film in which Jason Mewes and Smith are reprising their title roles. Several other actors from the original cast will also return, along with new cameos from across film, TV and music.

Saban Films is planning a “substantial” theatrical release for the sequel. Jordan Monsanto of Smodco is producing alongside Destro Films’ Liz Destro.

Like the original, the new movie will skewer reboots, remakes and sequels, while simultaneously acknowledging that “Jay and Silent Bob Reboot” is all three at the same time. Smith explains in a statement that the new film will tell the story of Jay and Silent Bob attempting to stop a planned Hollywood reboot of the movie that was to be based on them from the first “Jay and Silent Bob” film.

Jay (Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith) were first introduced 25 years ago in Smith’s directorial debut, “Clerks.” The unlikely stoner icons have subsequently appeared in “Mallrats,” “Chasing Amy,” “Dogma” and “Clerks II,” as well as the animated film “Jay and Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie.”

“Last February, I almost died. So on the one year anniversary of my widow maker heart attack, as a celebration of life and a big ol’ F you to Death, my best friend and I will be rolling cameras on a sequel/remake/reboot of a movie we first made nearly twenty years ago,” Smith said in a statement. “In ‘Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back’ our herbal heroes found out Hollywood was making a movie based on them, so they journeyed out to Hollywood to stop it. But I’ve learned so much as a storyteller and have grown immensely as a filmmaker since then, so audiences can expect something completely different: In ‘Jay & Silent Bob Reboot’ our herbal heroes find out Hollywood is making a reboot of the old movie that was based on them, so they journey out to Hollywood to stop it again. I offer my (literal) undying thanks to our amazing partners at Saban and Universal for making this dream come true and backing this cinematic silliness!”

“I’m tired of doing Shakespeare all the time so it’ll be nice to get back to playing Jay again,” Mewes said in a statement. “It may be 25 years since I first played the idiot man-child from Jersey but this time’s going to be the best because I’ve really grown into the role of idiot man-child in my old age.”

“Jay and Silent Bob is a global franchise which has a very loyal fan base.  Partnering with Kevin at script stage on the next chapter of these iconic characters is a huge milestone. This is the beginning of a new initiative at Saban Films, to partner on IP with seasoned filmmakers and talent early on in the creative process all the way through distribution,” Bill Bromiley of Saban Films said in a statement.

Bromiley and Jonathan Saba negotiated the deal for Saban Films, with Jackie Eckhouse of Sloss Eckhouse LawCo on behalf of the filmmakers. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment Content Group has picked up all international rights.

Equity financing for the picture has been provided by Hideout Pictures, Mickey Gooch Jr.’s Skitbags Entertainment, and fan-owned Legion M. Debt financing for the film has been provided by Three Point Capital Louisiana and Intercut Capital.

Kevin Smith Shows Off 51-Pound Weight Loss: I Hope to ‘Get Down to My Birth Weight of 195’ (Photo)

Read on: TheWrapTheWrap.

Kevin Smith posted a photo of himself on Instagram on Sunday, showing off his doctor-ordered weight loss and new physique after suffering a “massive heart attack” in February.

“6 months ago yesterday, I had a heart attack. The Doctor told me to lose 50 pounds, but I have a problem doing what I’m told. So I lost 51 pounds instead,” Smith tweeted Sunday, with a link to his Instagram story (below).

This @weightwatchers Ambassador is thrilled to announce that I’VE LOST 51 POUNDS! Six months ago from right now, I was in the hospital recovering from a heart attack I’d had the night before. When I went to my Doctor a week later, she told me “The best thing you can do for yourself now is to lose 50 pounds.” Half a year later, I can report that I followed Doctor’s orders: I started at 256 and now I weigh 205. This is the lightest I’ve been since high school! My hope now is I can slowly lose another 10 with #weightwatchers and get down to my birth weight of 195! But for now, I’m ecstatic to have reached this chunky milestone! I wanna thank #pennjillette for his book #presto, @raycronise for getting me started with his potato famine, and the good folks at #weightwatchers for their app-based program that made it easy to keep track of and control my eating! And I also wanna thank my kid @harleyquinnsmith – the little vegan astronaut who explored this meatless/milkless galaxy ahead of me, leading by example. Since I never wanted to see the inside of a hospital ever again, I simply copied the Kid. So this wasn’t a diet: these results came from a total lifestyle change of eating solely plant-based foods (which is tough because I hate vegetables). But mostly, I wanna thank all of you as well – for the kind and encouraging words along the way. Never underestimate the power of positive feedback: you folks telling me I looked better or healthier helped me stick with it. An encouraging word can really make a difference in someone’s life and your compliments kept me going! And just look where I went! #KevinSmith #WWambassador #WWFreestyle #WWFamily #WWBros #weightlosstransformation #weightloss #WWCommunity #ad *People following the Weight Watchers program can expect to lose 1-2lbs per week.

A post shared by Kevin Smith (@thatkevinsmith) on

Smith credits Weight Watchers for his change of habit, as well as TV personality Penn Jillette and Smith’s daughter, actress Harley Quinn Smith, but added that he hopes to shed another 10 pounds.

“This is the lightest I’ve been since high school!” Smith wrote. “My hope now is I can slowly lose another 10 with #weightwatchers and get down to my birth weight of 195! But for now, I’m ecstatic to have reached this chunky milestone!” he joked.

Back in February, Smith tweeted that he had suffered a “massive heart attack” after a stand-up show in Glendale, California.

“The Doctor who saved my life told me I had 100% blockage of my LAD artery (aka “the Widow-Maker”),” he tweeted from his hospital bed. “If I hadn’t canceled show 2 to go to the hospital, I would’ve died tonight. But for now, I’m still above ground!”

The “Clerks” actor said in his Instagram post on Sunday that he’s undergone a complete lifestyle change and, following his daughter’s (aka “the little vegan astronaut”) lead is adopting a meatless and milkless diet.

“Since I never wanted to see the inside of a hospital ever again, I simply copied the Kid,” Smith wrote. “So this wasn’t a diet: these results came from a total lifestyle change of eating solely plant-based foods (which is tough because I hate vegetables).”

The stand-up special “Kevin Smith: Silent but Deadly” that was taped the night of the comedian’s heart attack aired on Showtime in May. “
