Adam Sher Named President of ITV America

ITV America has elevated Adam Sher to president, filling the vacancy left by David George, who was named CEO of the company last month.

Sher will now oversee development, production and operations across all of the company’s production labels, as well as talent production deals and partnerships. He will report to George.

Under Sher’s guidance as chief creative officer since December 2015, ITV America recently launched the “Queer Eye” reboot for Netflix, the music competition show “The Four: Battle for Stardom” on FOX, and secured talent production deals with  Michael Strahan and Kevin Costner, among others.

To replace Sher in the chief creative officer position, George has tapped David Eilenberg, formerly president of the company’s ITV Entertainment label. Eilenberg will also report to George as he guides the company’s creative strategy.

Additionally, ITV Creative chief operating officer Heath Banks has been upped to executive vice president, operations, at ITV America. Danielle Bibbo, formerly SVP of production for ITV Creative, also has been elevated to executive vice president, business development at ITV America.

The executive shuffle comes after George was named CEO of ITV America following the departure of Brent Montgomery in January.

Michael Strahan Inks Overall Production Deal With ITV America

Michael Strahan and Constance Schwartz-Morini’s SMAC Entertainment has signed an exclusive overall production deal with ITV America. Under the agreement, SMAC will create unscripted projects for television, OTT and digital platforms, which will be produced under the ITV America banner.

The two companies are already in business together on the series “Tackle My Ride” for the NFL Network (with Leftfield Pictures), and have the following projects in development: “Spark the Future With Wiz Khalifa” (with ITV Entertainment), “Pros vs. Kids,” “Not for Primetime” (with Leftfield Pictures), and “Guinness World Records” (with High Noon & ITV Entertainment).

“Constance and I have an enormous amount of respect for the team at ITV America and the group’s spirit of creative risk, support and collaboration, which is key for us as producers and entrepreneurs,” Strahan said. “We are eager to develop projects across reality, competition, documentary and more and are truly excited to call ITV America home for SMAC Entertainment.”
