Kimmy is back and ready to adult in the trailer for the fourth and final season of Netflix’s popular comedy.

Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) is shown navigating her way around the workplace, deal with guest star Bobby Moynihan as a men’s rights activist, and even defend herself against a sexual harassment accusation.

Here’s Netflix’s official description of Season 4:

“The season finds the optimistic Kimmy starting a new career as HR manager of the startup Giztoob, but it’s more than she bargained for when her boss tells her she has to fire someone and she unintentionally gets tangled in a #MeToo situation. Also, Jacqueline builds her talent agency empire, but for the moment has only one client (Titus). And between creating and starring in a new (fake) TV show and directing his first middle school play, Titus’s own career begins to take off. All the while, Lillian continues to do whatever it takes  to “disrupt” and “burst the paradigm.”

Last week, Netflix announced the guest star line-up for the final season, including Jon Hamm as the reverend and Amy Sedaris as Jacqueline’s divorced friend Mimi Kanassis. See all the guest stars and which episodes they’ll appear in over here.

The first six episodes of the Ellie Kemper sitcom are set to launch together on May 30, with the second half following later in the year.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” hails from Universal Television in association with 3 Arts Entertainment, Little Stranger, Inc. and Bevel Gears for Netflix. Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Sam Means, Jeff Richmond and David Miner executive produce the comedy.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 4 hits Netflix on May 30.

‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Trailer: Kimmy’s Working at a Startup in First Peek at Season 4

One of Netflix’s flagship comedies drops the first half of its fourth season at the end of this month.

When a show has a season that somehow combines a “Lemonade” tribute, Maya Rudolph playing Dionne Warwick, and public efforts to change an NFL team name, it makes for an interesting challenge to follow up. Yet, judging by the latest trailer for Season 4 of the Netflix comedy “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt,” there are still plenty of places left to go.

Kimmy (Ellie Kemper), fresh off a year at Columbia, is following through on the previous season’s finale and taking a plunge into the world of tech start-ups. Meanwhile, Titus (Tituss Burgess) is back to his journey through the New York entertainment world, this time with the once-again-single Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) as his agency representation.

Alongside Kemper and Burgess, the rest of the “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” gang is back together, including Carol Kane as everyone’s favorite landlord Lillian. With all the regulars back for Season 4, there’s still plenty of room for this show to get crazy, including with newcomer guest star Bobby Moynihan as one of Kimmy’s new workplace challenges.

In addition to Moynihan, this season’s roster of drop-ins includes Busy Phillips, Aidy Bryant, Greg Kinnear, Amy Sedaris, Zosia Mamet, and the return of Jon Hamm.

Due to some Emmys release calendar magic, “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is dropping six episodes of Season 4 just in time to keep all the annual nominees eligible for 2018 consideration. (Maybe this will finally be Kemper and Burgess’ years.)

The first half of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 4 premieres May 30 on Netflix.

Netflix is out with an unconventional first look at Season 4 of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: a musical opening sequence from Episode 1 that might be best described as Friends-meets-Mary Tyler Moore. ‘Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’ Season 4 First Look Pays Homage to ‘Mary Tyler Moore’ (With a Robot) – Watch

Kimmy’s back with a song in her heart and a beret on her head.

The premiere of “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” Season 4 is less than a month away, and based on the first look from Netflix, the changes put in place at the end of Season 3 seem to be sticking.

While last year, an attempt at getting her college degree resulted in Kimmy (Ellie Kemper) getting expelled from Columbia University, she did make a connection with Tyler (Noah Robbins), which landed her a job at the tech start-up Giztoob (not the stupidest name for a start-up we’ve ever heard, to be honest).

In the clip below, featuring Kimmy’s new theme song, “Little Girl, Big City!” (sung by series regular Jane Krakowski), Kimmy is a career gal on the go who has a hard time holding onto her berets and reading social cues. She is, however, excellent at giving high fives (a fact about her that’s never changed) to her co-workers.

Also included in this sneak peek is a look at Krakowski, Tituss Burgess, Carol Kane, and C.H.E.R.Y.L. the robot having a fine time together — though as fans of the show know, life rarely works out easily for Kimmy and her friends. Still, the results have earned the series 16 Emmy nominations, and by premiering the first six episodes of Season 4 right before the Emmys eligibility period ends, creators Robert Carlock and Tina Fey are primed to add to that total.

“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” premieres Thursday, May 31 on Netflix. Check out the video and photos below.
