Blair Kohan Joins UTA Board of Directors

Blair Kohan has been selected as the newest member of global talent and literary agency UTA’s board of directors, the company announced Wednesday.

Kohan, a longtime partner, is the second woman to join the board, alongside Tracey Jacobs, who was the first woman to join the board for any Hollywood agency. Other board members include UTA Chairman Jim Berkus, CEO Jeremy Zimmer, Co-Presidents David Kramer and Jay Sures, co-founder Peter Benedek and Matt Rice.

“We want our board to reflect the direction and growth of the company, and Blair Kohan does that and more,” said Zimmer in a statement. “She is an innovative and passionate partner to her clients and a generous and wise colleague to her UTA family. I am grateful Blair has agreed to take on these added responsibilities. She will be a powerful addition to our board, and her passion, perspective and experience will be invaluable as we navigate the many opportunities and changes shaping our business today.”

Kohan has been an agent for several top stars including Sarah Silverman, Seth Rogen and Chelsea Handler. In addition to her 20-year career at UTA, Kohan has been one of the major voices of the Time’s Up movement against sexual misconduct in the entertainment industry. She and UTA have hosted several events addressing the ongoing issue, including a panel with Anita Hill discussing her thoughts on how the #MeToo movement should move forward.
