Colbert: Purpose of Stormy Daniels NDA is ‘Raw Cleavage Footage’ for Anderson Cooper (Video)

In a shocking turn (just kidding), Stephen Colbert took time during the opening monologue of Wednesday’s episode of “The Late Show” to lay into Donald Trump over the ongoing Stormy Daniels scandal.

Joking that POTUS just can’t seem to escape the scandal “no matter how many times he clears his browser history,” Colbert launched a segment called “Stormy Watch,” in which he ran down the latest developments.

First up, the motion filed by Daniels’ attorney, Michael Avenatti, that seeks to depose the president about whether or not he has knowledge of what Avenatti called a “Hush Agreement” with Daniels.

“That means Trump is gonna have to answer uncomfortable questions under oath like ‘did you have an affair with Stormy Daniels,’ and ‘is this now or has it ever been your penis?’” Colbert said.

Colbert next noted Avenatti’s assertion in the motion that the so-called hush agreement between Daniels and Trump has no “lawful object or purpose.”

“Oh how dare you,” a fake-outraged Colbert said. “Of course this agreement has a lawful purpose. It has given Anderson Cooper hundreds of hours of Stormy Daniels’ raw cleavage footage.”

But the weird thing, Colbert noted, is that Trump hasn’t said anything about the scandal publicly.

“He hasn’t even tweeted about it. One friend says ‘the president is not in a punch-back mode.’ Yes,” Colbert continued, “Trump only has a few settings: There’s punch-back; There’s lie; There’s self-promote; And popcorn.”

Stephen Colbert Takes Over Anderson Cooper’s Stormy Daniels Interview (Video)

Anderson Cooper did a pretty good job interviewing porn star Stormy Daniels on Sunday’s “60 Minutes,” but Stephen Colbert just took it up a notch.

Editing himself into the conversation with the woman who says she had sex with a married Donald Trump more than a decade ago, Colbert asked all of the questions the “AC 360” host was too classy to pose.

For example, in this version, Daniels tells Colbert that Trump’s penis looks like a combination of a decorative gourd and a circus peanut. Shortly thereafter, Colbert dry heaves at the now-President’s apparent pickup line.

It wouldn’t be the only time the CBS comedian nearly puked.

Later, there was also a new spin on the Trump-Daniels “Shark Week” viewing party. And the button — what we in the biz call a scene’s outro joke — is a solid (but dated) “Jerry Maguire”/Netflix joke.

Sean Hannity Drags ’60 Minutes’ Interview: ‘Anderson Cooper Has Now Turned Into CNN’s Jerry Springer’ (Video)

Fox News fire breather Sean Hannity didn’t care for Stormy Daniels’ interview on “60 Minutes” Sunday. On his his show Monday evening, he said the mainstream media had become unhealthily obsessed with the story and that CNN anchor Anderson Cooper was turning into Jerry Springer.

“After back-to-back, lewd, cringeworthy, creepy interviews with Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal — again allegations of a consensual relationship — it looks like Anderson Cooper has now turned into CNN’s Jerry Springer,” said Hannity.

The Fox host then played a side-by-side montage of Springer and moments from Cooper’s interview — which were kind of similar.

At the opening of his show’s monologue, Hannity said the Stormy Daniels story had taken the place of Russia for a media desperate to discredit the president.

“Now that the media’s Russia obsession isn’t exactly working out according to plan, well instead of Russia, Russia, Russia, now it’s Stormy, Stormy and more Stormy,” he said. “The mainstream media’s nonstop assault on President Trump and his character and credibility has reached a new low.”

Hannity also trial ballooned the name “creepy Anderson Cooper,” and repeated his declaration that CNN president Jeff Zucker was the “king of porn” for his network’s wall-to-wall Stormy coverage.

Stormy Daniels, who is suing President Donald Trump to try and be released from an NDA, said she had a consensual sexual affair with the real estate magnate back in 2006. The president has consistently denied that there was any physical relationship between the two.

Daniels is also suing Trump attorney Michael Cohen for defamation.

‘The Daily Show’: Trevor Noah Suggests Mueller Could Learn from Stormy Daniels, Spank Trump (Video)

The March for Our Lives was top of the headlines around the world and on “The Daily Show,” but it wasn’t the only news story from the weekend. Host Trevor Noah noted that Donald Trump made so much news in the last few days, there wasn’t time to cover it all on the Comedy Central news satire show.

Noah goofed on a heap of Trump news items, ranging from the firing of H.R. McMaster as National Security Adviser and the hiring of “elderly Lorax” John Bolton in his place, to Trump’s reluctant signing of a new spending bill to avoid a government shutdown. But the bit of news that most captivated America, and “The Daily Show,” was the interview adult film director and actress Stephanie Clifford, stage name Stormy Daniels, gave to Anderson Cooper on “60 Minutes.”

Noah discussed the interview and suggested Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who is investigating the Trump campaign for possible collusion with Russia to influence the 2016 presidential election, might have learned a few tricks from Daniels on how to deal with Trump. You can watch the video above.

In the interview, Daniels told Cooper that Trump had started their first encounter in 2006 by talking about himself, and mentioned a magazine that featured a picture of him on its cover. Daniels wasn’t impressed, and told Trump that someone should spank him with it. She told Cooper she jokingly encouraged Trump to drop his pants and that she spanked him with the rolled-up magazine.

“From that moment on, he was a completely different person,” Daniels said in the interview. “He quit talking about himself and he asked me things, and I asked him things, and it just became more appropriate.”

Noah cut back from the interview with a disgusted expression. “Ew,” he said.

But then Noah suggested that Daniels might have just given Mueller an edge if he were to interview Trump.

“You know what makes it weirder, is that when he’s spanked, he (Trump) becomes a nice guy and starts opening up,” Noah said. “You know Bob Mueller is watching this interview, right. And now he’s going to walk into that interrogation room with a rolled-up magazine like, ‘Okay, Donald, it’s time to talk about Russia.’”

Noah went on to impersonate Trump as Mueller spanked him, spilling all the beans on the Russia case.

White House Still Denies Trump-Stormy Daniels Affair: ‘False Charges Are Settled Out of Court All the Time’

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah swatted back against allegations made by Stormy Daniels’ on “60 Minutes” reiterating Monday that the president continued to deny any suggestion of a sexual affair between the two.

“The president doesn’t believe that any of the claims Ms. Daniels made in the interview are accurate,” said Shah, adding, “False charges are settled out court all the time.”

“The President strongly clearly and consistently has denied these underlying claims. The only one who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims,” he said. “My understanding is that she signed the statements that conflict with what she said last night.”

While Daniels’ did admit to signing such a statement she told Anderson Cooper last night that she did so only under duress from team Trump.

“They made it sound like I had no choice,” said Daniels on “60 Minutes.” “The exact sentence used was, ‘They can make your life hell in many different ways,’” added the porn star.

It wasn’t just the president, however, who used those inconsistencies against her. On “Morning Joe” Monday, the show was sharply critical of Daniels’ and the entire “60 Minutes” exercise, saying the adult film actress was not credible and her conversation with Cooper yielded little new information.

“The fact is Stormy Daniels is not credible,” law professor and “Morning Joe” mainstay Jonathan Turley said. “She’s signed false statements.”
