Tom Petty may be dead, but he’s certainly not forgotten. And he’s not done bringing music to the masses.

Following news that a box set of Petty’s music will be released later this year, the official music video for “Keep a Little Soul,” from the upcoming selection, was released Wednesday.

The video is heavy on vintage footage chronicling the decades-long career of Petty and his band, the Heartbreakers. Along with home movies and clips from Petty and the Heartbreakers’ energetic performances throughout the years, there’s plenty of behind-the-scenes footage showcasing the group’s goofy sense of humor, including a clip of Petty, sporting an oh-so-’70s ‘stache, flashing the camera his nipples in full-on Boy Gone Wild fashion.

Petty died in October 2017 at age 66 of an accidental overdose. According to the coroner, the “Don’t Do Me Like That” musician had a number of medications in his system, including Fentanyl, an opioid that was found to be responsible for the death of musician Prince in 2016 at age 57.

According to a statement issued by Petty’s family, the musician had suffered from a fractured hip but nonetheless decided to tour for 53 dates with the fracture.

“On the day he died he was informed his hip had graduated to a full on break and it is our feeling that the pain was simply unbearable and was the cause for his over use of medication,” the family added.

The box set, “An American Treasure,” will be released September 28 on Reprise Records.
