Sony Pictures’ “Men in Black” spinoff is coming together, adding Academy Award-nominated Kumail Nanjiani and “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” villain Rafe Spall to an ensemble cast that already includes Liam Neeson, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson, TheWrap has learned.

Nanjiani, last year, was nominated along with his wife Emily Gordon for a screenwriting Oscar for “The Big Sick,” which he also starred in.

The newest installment in the “Men in Black” franchise, which is to be directed by “Fate of the Furious” director F. Gary Gray, will also add brothers Laurent Nicolas Bourgeois and Larry Nicolas Bourgeois, known as Les Twins, who have been backup dancers for Beyonce.

The script for the film, which is without a title, was penned by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, the writing team behind 2008’s “Iron Man,” among other things.

The spinoff, slated for a June 14, 2019 release, will begin in London and is expected to launch the franchise onto a much bigger, global scale.

Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing, with Steven Spielberg is executive producing. David Beaubaire is overseeing for Sony.

Umberto Gonzalez contributed to this reporting.
