John Cena is teaming up with Jackie Chan to save a China-run oil refinery in the Middle East.

The wrestler turned actor is set to star alongside Chan in a new action-thriller from “Need for Speed” director Scott Waugh, a person close to the project told TheWrap.

Cena is replacing Sylvester Stallone in the role.

The movie centers around a private security contractor (Chan) who’s called in to escort a group of civilians along Baghdad’s “Highway of Death” to the safety of the Green Zone. Once he learns the attackers’ real plan is to steal a fortune in oil, he’ll team up with a former Marine (Cena) to stop them.

The project doesn’t yet have a title.

Chan is also producing along with Joe Tam, Esmond Ren, Jianhong Qi and Hans Canosa. The script was written by Arash Amel.

Cena is repped by ICM and will next be in the Trasnformers’ spin-off “Bumblebee,” expected December 21.

Chan, repped by CAA, was last seen stateside in STX’s Chinese co-production “The Foreigner” and is attached to star in a fourth “Rush Hour” film and a “Shanghai Noon” sequel.
