Eminem, Beyonce, The Weeknd Reported to Headline Coachella 2018

A website that has broken the news of Coachella’s headliners for the last two years reports that 2018’s stars will be Eminem, Beyonce and The Weeknd. Consequence of Sound notes that this would be the first time in the nearly two decades of the Southern California desert festival that a rock band won’t headline.

The site first reported in October 2015 that the New York-based dance-punk outfit LCD Soundsystem would headline Coachella 2016 as the start of a reunion tour. The site was lambasted by the band’s representatives  but ultimately were proven correct when James Murphy and company joined the semi-reunited Guns N’ Roses and Calvin Harris as headliners. The site has also leaked news of other festival headliners as far back as 2010.

Beyonce dropped out of her headlining slot last year due to her pregnancy, but said she would return in 2018.

Eminem released his latest album, “Revival,” on Friday. The Weeknd’s most recent album was 2016’s “Star Boy.”

Goldenvoice, which produces Coachella, did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. Neither did reps for Eminem and The Weeknd.

The lineup is expected to be released in early January. Coachella will take place April 13-15 and April 20-22 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio.
